Ask?

Assalamualaikum wbt

Sorry for not writing in a long time......but in sya' Allah, i hope with the willing of Allah, every entry benefit to all.

Now, let me begin with something human being will do whenever they got something......asking.
(p/s:this entry need a bit IQ from reader....so be prepared)

Start from prophet Adam a.s, when his son, Qabil many times ASKING, why this, why that, etc.

Until now, human being, not only non-muslim, also muslim.

I also curious about this, is it right or wrong asking something that we want to know?

Bare in mind brother and sister, Allah said in Kalamullah,

"So when the Horn is blown, no relationship will there be among them that Day, nor will they ask about one another." (Al-Mu'minun, 101)

If we take a look at this sentence, Allah has been decided that human being cannot asking anymore during that Day, meaning that before that day come, human being like to ask, ask and ask.

Once again, is it ok we always asking something that we curious?

I remember when i'm at school, teacher always give this statement, "ask or i will ask you question".
Now, teacher at school encourage me to ask. what about that? is it ok asking something that we dont know? or asking something that we already know?

Let read with our heart what Allah said,

"And when My servants ask you, [O Muhammad], concerning Me - indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me [by obedience] and believe in Me that they may be [rightly] guided." (Al-Baqarah,186)

Now, let me give my opinion about asking (different people have different opinion, so give comment at the end of this blog).

For me, asking may have many types.

Scenario type 1,
i ask my lecturer, how to generate the 'eye diagram' using MATLAB.
So, in my opinion this type of asking is very good, as it will help me to generate the 'eye
diagram'. What about your opinion?

Scenario type 2,
i ask my lecturer, is your way in generating 'eye diagram' is correct?
What do you think about this? I think this type of asking is not right as it is about challenging
the 'expert' knowledge. But, it is ok in order to make our knowledge clear about something.

Scenario type 3,
i ask my lecturer, why do you think that your way is correct in generating 'eye diagram'?
What about this? For me, the person that asking this type of question may have other way or
he just do not want to accept the lecturer's solution without showing his own solution.

Scenario type 4,
i ask my lecturer, who are you?

My opinion, this is just normal question when we want to know someone. =)

And etc......

Discussion:

Let us try to reflect back in our muslim society.

1) people always ask about anything in islam that they really dont know about it. Indeed it is very good because islam encourage the believers to learn, but it is most likely the question that can be ask by the non-muslim and the muslim that really dont know about that. What about the muslim know about that but dont want to accept the fact or the truth?

2) some people may ask question about something that are cleared about its truth. Many example, Islam told us not to get close to zina, but many people always ask is it 'couple' really wrong in islam? and worst when these people give their own 'declaration' about the rule of 'couple'. they may said that we are not doing zina, we just meet and do nothing. I just want to ask, do you know about the meaning of zina and the meaning of not to get close to zina? Of course there are so many other examples.

3) some people may ask is it true that Allah ask us to do this, to do that. and some may ask, why Allah ask us to do the thing that really hard? Example, "amar ma'ruf nahi mungkar". It is so hard to do as it require our time, energy, maybe money, pride (as higher rank officer) and etc. In Al-Quran,

"[And they are] those who, if We give them authority in the land, establish prayer and give zakah and enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong. And to Allah belongs the outcome of [all] matters." (Al-Hajj, 41).

Some people feel so hard and give so many excuses. What about you?

4) Lastly, i would like to know your opinion, is it better if the question going to be this way..... the question ask should be reflected to ourselves such as the question like "is it i'm doing is right?" or "what are the mistake that i did before?" or "is there any redha from Allah if i'm doing this?". For me it seems to be very practical for good believers which not has many arguments about Allah's regulations(syariah).
Indeed Allah said,

"O you who have believed, do not ask about things which, if they are shown to you, will distress you. But if you ask about them while the Qur’an is being revealed, they will be shown to you. Allah has pardoned that which is past; and Allah is Forgiving and Forbearing." (Al-Maai'dah, 101)

In sya' Allah, thanks for your time to read this and giving some comment. All good from Allah, all bad from myself with the willing Allah.

Jazzakallah khair.
